Grace Valley Christian Academy exists to provide a Christ-centered education where faith and rigorous academics are fully integrated.

A Christian School

Grace Valley Christian Academy is first and foremost a Christian school. Our main mission is to teach and train students to be courageous Christians who live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives. We emphasize reading, writing, arithmetic, and righteousness. At GVCA, students are still taught the Ten Commandments, along with the greatest commandment: to love God with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength, and to love their neighbors as themselves.

Our school motto is Omne Consilium Dei, which means “the whole counsel of God.” The Bible is the heart of our educational program, and we do not draw artificial distinctions between “religious” and “secular” subjects. We prepare our students to think and to work in all fields in the light of God’s Word.

Accelerated and Advanced

For nearly 30 years, GVCA has successfully implemented the Core Knowledge curriculum, establishing academic excellence and sending graduates to top universities in engineering, medicine, law, teaching, and other challenging programs. The education at GVCA is both accelerated and advanced, with students generally a year ahead of the usual grade-level. Our curriculum includes classical literature, a sequential writing program, hands-on science, history from a Christian worldview, and challenging math courses at all grade levels. Students also enjoy many other courses such as art, music, choir, Spanish, Bible courses, physical education, and robotics. Our students receive a rich and well-rounded education and perform exceptionally well in college and post-graduate studies. We supplement our traditional classroom instruction with guest lectures by experts and professionals, including surgeons, UC Davis professors, veterinarians, attorneys, nurses, and business executives. In addition, our students take world-class field trips, where they learn in real-world environments like the courtroom or the laboratory. Our desire is that we send our students out into the world as articulate, well-educated Christians, prepared for success in every future endeavor. Our alumni have excelled in medicine, law, engineering, education, business, and, more importantly, in Christ and in life. We praise the Lord for pouring out His blessing on our school, our students, and our community.
